ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCE
Once a call for help is received, either at the customer’s home or on the road, a mobile service is immediately dispatched to the scene to rectify, on the spot, the following roadside difficulties:
Locked/lost keys - open vehicle, cost up to $77 GST inc.
Flat battery - vehicle will be jump started at the request of driver (replacement battery at drivers expense)
Flat tyre - vehicles roadworthy spare wheel will be fitted
Out of fuel - minimum 5 litres of unleaded fuel supplied at drivers cost (LPG/Diesel vehicles transport to fuel supply within free service radius)
TOWING - BREAKDOWN
If the vehicle is unable to be quickly mechanically repaired or safely driven due to mechanical failure, the vehicle, including the driver, will be transported to a nominated service centre, or owner’s residence.
In a situation where the breakdown occurs on a trip or holiday, we would transport the vehicle to the nearest service centre. In an after hours situation, arrangements can be made to store the vehicle and transport when the service centre or repair facility is open.
A 20km metro and 50km rural free of charge service for roadside response and breakdown towing applies on a NATIONAL basis, as part of our standard service, with all excess kilometers charged at the recommended industry rates.
We will relay urgent messages to family, friends and business associates, likely to be concerned by disruption or delay.
We will also arrange for alternative transport in the case of a major breakdown or accident i.e. taxi (cost at drivers expense).
Vehicles used for hire or reward including rental and loan cars
Vehicles that require specialist or heavy equipment for removal, extraction from multi-story or underground car parks, are bogged or are not within easy reach of a public road
Vehicles located off public roads (other than private residence)
Vehicles which have been involved in an accident/collision or have sustained damage due to impact, slashed tyres, malicious or criminal damage and/or flood damage. These should be referred to relevant emergency services, police or insurance company
Heavy vehicles, trucks and equipment over 3.5t gross weight
